The Central Valley Panthers All-Star Cheerleading organization and the Plainville High School cheerleaders are proud to host the 18th Annual Northeast Blizzard Cheer & Dance Championship. The event is open to Middle School, Junior High School, High School, and College cheer and dance teams. 

Awards

Trophies will be given in each division depending on the number of teams in each division.  Partner stunt groups will also receive trophies.

Music

Please bring 2 copies of your music and please label your music by school/program.  Only CD format can be used.

Judges

All judges will be qualified and/or certified with cheerleading/dance experience.  A safety judge will be available. Judges decisions are final. Please ask safety questions about a stunt BEFORE the competition begins.  See the safety judge on site.

Divisions

 National Federation rules will be used for all divisions.

Junior High/Middle School Cheer 8th grade and under 2:30 minutes
Junior High/Middle School Dance
8th grade and under Up to 3 minutes
Junior High/Middle School Partner Stunt
8th grade and under, 5 cheerleaders, stunting to music
Up to 1 minute
High School - Junior Varsity 9th - 12th grades, all cheerleaders representing one school
2:30 minutes
High School - Varsity Novice 9th - 12th grades, no twisting from extended one-legged stunts, only toe touch basket tosses, only libs, arabesques and heel stretches are allowed in extended one-legged stunts, no double twisting, most difficult tumbling passes can only include roundoffs and back handsprings, no tucks, layouts, pikes, or fulls 2:30 minutes
High School - Varsity Small
9th - 12th grades, all female, 15 members or less
2:30 minutes
High School - Varsity Large
9th - 12th grades, all female, 16 members or more 2:30 minutes
High School - Co-ed 9th - 12th grades, one or more males 2:30 minutes
High School - Dance
9th - 12th grades 2:30 - 3:00 minutes
High School - Partner Stunt
9th - 12th grades, all female, 5 cheerleaders, stunting to music, routine MUST include a twist from one extended stunt
Up to 1 minute
High School - Co-ed Partner Stunt 9th - 12th grades, one female, one male, one spotter, routine MUST include a twist from one extended stunt Up to 1 minute
College - All Girl all female, all members have graduated from high school and are currently enrolled in college 2:30 minutes
College - Co-ed at least one male, all members have graduated from high school and are currently enrolled in college 2:30 minutes
College - All Girl Partner Stunt
all female, 5 cheerleaders, all members have graduated from high school and are currently enrolled in college, stunting to music, routine MUST include a twist from one extended stunt Up to 1 minute
College - Co-ed Partner Stunt one female, one male, one spotter, both cheerleaders have graduated from high school and are currently enrolled in college, routine MUST include a twist from one extended stunt Up to 1 minute

 

Performance Order

The performance order will be made available here when it is known.

Practice/Warm up

Each team will have four minutes of mat time to practice on three different mats: stretch mat, tumble mat, and team practice mat.  Partner stunt practice will be two minutes.
